The rapper Kanye West said publicly this week that President Obama has been limited in his presidency because black people don't have the same "level of connections" as Jews and "oil people."
"Man, let me tell you something about George Bush and oil money and Obama and no money," West said in an interview with New York City's 105.1 FM that was surfaced Friday by the Israeli newspaper Haaretz. "People want to say Obama can't make these moves or he's not executing. That's because he ain't got those connections. Black people don't have the same level of connections as Jewish people. Black people don't have the same connection as oil people."
West made the comments while speaking on 105.1 FM's The Breakfast Club program. A short clip from the interview was uploaded to YouTube. Watch it here:
I read that interview. I didn't know he couldn't speak proper English.
One year in 5th grade ELA (English, Language Arts) would do him the world of good especially since he travels to other countries and opens his mouth.

He's worth 100 million. At some point, his English speaking skills obviously didn't matter.
My English is great...but I'd rather have the 100 million and bad English.
can you blame him? white folk are the ones who have been after him from the start.
And isn't he proof himself that he was able to overcome White hostility and "connections" ?
Obama would not be in the Oval office if he didn't have "connections".

I don't know if they are "after him" but his attitude and actions have brought negative attention. Kanye makes ridiculous statements to create controversy under the midguided guise that he is an intellectual creating ideological controversy....instead he has shown himself to be a corporatist, pseudo-intellectual under the pursuit of money and attention. He was recently on a radio show with the comedian 'Charlemagne da God' and he tore into Kanye for about 10 minutes straight. Most people that like hip-hop, myself included, acknowledge that Kanye is a good musician...but despite how badly he wants to believe it...no one is after him or concerned about his "intellecual musings." His social commentary wreaks of textbook hate mongering and shock jockeying under the remarkably shallow cover of making himself more money. Kanye is a tool...plain and simple. Worse than that...he's a racist tool.

And a fool and should stick strictly to entertainment. Isn't he the guy that compared himself to Jesus?
