Talking on the phone with my Ultra rightwing brother last night,as he lives in Florida i told him at the end of the call to throw another blanket on the bed as you are about to experience a polar vortex, well that set him off like i'd hit a raw nerve,for the next 10 minutes i got an earful of his views on Global Warming, Tree Huggers, Liberal biased media, Al Gore, Obama and my mental dysfunction for living too long in that Communist nanny state to the north (Canada).
Obviously theres more to the term "Polar Vortex" in the rightwing community than i'm hearing up here in Canada,to avoid setting people off what other term should i use to describe this weather phenomenon.
Nah, the polar vortex is just another in a long line of the epicycles of man-made global warming.

Don't be absurd. Nobody is saying that a polar vortex is something new. However, melting arctic ice is pushing the cold air further and further south. When it's colder in Georgia than in Anchorage, Alaska, in the winter, you know something's up. Read a science article instead of depending on right wing news to spoon feed your information to you.
The polar vortex is a prevailing wind pattern that circles the Arctic, flowing from west to east all the way around the Earth. It normally keeps extremely cold air bottled up toward the North Pole. Occasionally, though, the vortex weakens, allowing the cold air to pour down across Canada into the U.S., or down into other regions such Eastern Europe. In addition to bringing cold, the air mass can push the jet stream—the band of wind that typically flows from the Pacific Ocean across the U.S.—much further south as well. If the jet stream puts up a fight, the moisture it carries can fall out as heavy snow, which atmospheric scientists say is the circumstance that caused the February 2010 “snowmageddon” storm that shut down Washington, D.C.
But we’ve seen that the jet stream isn’t putting up as much of a fight lately. The reason, is that arctic sea ice is melting. Another factor is the role of snow in reflecting sunlight back to the atmosphere and strengthens the jet stream. As with sea ice, snow cover has been declining. NASA’s Earth Observatory illustrates how snow cover is changing relative to historical averages:
His turn from fast cars ,bikes,racing,diving,sporting events took a turn to all politics about the same time the opposition to Obama started up, now bikes cars and sporting events are all in the past and his life revolves around watching and listening to and reading politics, his only hobby seems to be collecting guns.The guy is certainly no fun to be around anymore. I think theres something in the water down there..
Up here in Canada if the weatherman says a polar vortex is happening, ok,so what, down in the US its a major conspiracy event,all the rightwing talking heads weigh in on the issue, its a liberal plot etc. its as if the USA has become a land of crisis junkies/drama queens,make a big deal about everything.I dont get it..
Well, of course in Canada we say "so what". We're used to the bitter cold and blizzards dumping more and more snow on us. In the US, it brings cities to complete standstills.
(Liberal plots will do that, dontcha know?)

You got that backwards its not the proponents of Global warming that are saying Polar Vortexes are new and have never existed before its the rightwing talking heads who are making that claim, limbaugh as a prime example.

It does not matter what global climate does, increase, decrease, or remain static, these liberal freaks are so desperate to foist their socialist fascism and use AGW as an excuse to redistribute wealth, that they will say anything to make it happen. They know it is a lie just as well as you or I know it is a lie. However, they believe that if they repeat the lie often enough people will start believing them, when in reality the exact opposite has been true.
