Gosh, pigs must be flying if even the deep South tries to uphold parts of the Constitution and sacrifices their almighty religion for it. I'm guessing that it's a Christmas miracle.

To the rest of you: I hope you all realize that you might as well be talking to your microwave. In fact, the beeping it emits is probably more intellectually stimulating than the baseless, paranoid, anti-liberal, anti-American conspiracy rantings of such a poor, sad, delusional soul as one can readily encounter in this thread.
Did you ACTUALLY READ the article? I don't think you did:

Christmas card censorship comes as the Bulloch County Board of Education cracks down on religious expression in their schools. Teachers have been ordered to remove any religious icons or items from their classrooms – ranging from Bibles to Christian music.

Teachers have also been instructed to avoid student-led prayers at all costs. Should they be in a room where students are praying, teachers have been ordered to turn their backs on their students.

“It’s an attack on Christianity,” Kicklighter said. “It seems like every time we turn around, someone is offended.”

Hundreds of outraged residents have joined a Facebook page to protest the crackdown –and many are vowing to attend a school board meeting on Thursday to let school have a piece of their mind.

This was an action dictated by the Georgia Board of Education ... a favorite occupation for left wing lunatics poisoning the minds of our children, who insist on teaching them about Bobby's two mommies, and how to put a condom on a banana, but if those damned kids dare say a prayer, those teachers are instructed to "turn their backs to them" ? What a sick, putrid group of child abusers these creeps are.

Oh yes, what an intelligent assessment you offered ... just threw a monkey wrench into my whole speil, aye? Now, if things haven't already proven how thoroughly demented, delusional, and down right mentally derranged you all are, you now claim the attacks are proof that no attacks are occurring, while also insinuating that theae attacks that are not occurring are being instigated and carried out by those on the conservative side?

Monkey wrench indeed ....:-) you really got me on the ropes now.

Unfortunately, today the school was terrorized by an intentional and vicious dissemination of untrue information that disrupted the good work going on inside. Fox News Radio Commentary Host Todd Starnes, acting on misinformation that neither he, nor his media outlet corroborated with the school system or Baker, misreported a story about student Christmas Cards being removed from the school.
Brooklet Elementary School: News

From the school's own site.

Seriously, people...you should stop listening to FOX News. Or if you do; verify. Chances are, it's wrong.
Ah yes, the old "I didn't do it". How very original !!! The part you did not include is the confession that the cards were 'moved" to the teacher's lounge .... not removed from the school. And they were moved because of privacy concerns from one of the teachers, and not to remove them from student view .. though that was the ultimate result, since students don't hang out in the teacher's lounge. That they ultimately were removed (moved) out of student view was purely incidental, and not the motive.

This is called .... who spilled the beans, and how we gonna make these angry parents happy ... easy, we just deny, deny, deny .... just a little CYA.

Privacy concerns? What privacy concerns?
If it was a privacy concern, then it's not a war on Christmas, is it?

The Board of Education released a statement noting that there are “established legal requirements to which we must adhere.”
As usual, Todd Starnes got it wrong. And also as usual, so did you Janelle. When people have to resort to using lies to support their views, what does that say about their views?

So saying merry christmas is wishing the other person happiness on THEIR holiday celebration, and has nothing to do with whether you celebrate that holiday or not. So when refusing to use the words merry christmas because of your own ideological beliefs, you're simply behaving like an ideologue, and a socially immature child.
Then why, by your own admission, do you not wish Jews happy Hanukkah? IF issuing good tidings is supposed to be for them, then you are being hypocritical because you said that you have never wished anyone Happy Haunukka "because I'm not a Jew".

Do you even possess one marginally rational thought in that severely diseased mind? If so, when are you going to let it out for a walk and a little fresh air?

And as usual, you also got it wrong and didn't check the source. But why let the facts interfere with a good old delusional rant and a stream of your usual personal insults?

So who was behind the fake story?

The fact is, you don't have to participate ... there is no law forcing you to buy a chritmas tree (unlike healthcare insurance) ... you are certainly free to celebrate christmas or not ... celebrate whatever you care to ... or not .... but it is people like you, whose minds are such a tangle of conflicting and twisted wires, that you read the 1st Ammendment, and come to the exact opposite conclusion.

I'll have you know, that the founding fathers would hang the lot of you for your deliberate twisting of their words to reflect your backassward ideological nonsense. They put that statement ...." ..... or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...." there to prevent some dictator, or minority of assembled nitwits to interfere in our individual right of freedom of religious expression. There is not even the slighest insinuation that such expression can or should be prohibited in public ... it says quite the opposite ... it say that such expression cannot be prohibited.

The reality is, if anyone is behaving as if the world revolved around them, it would be those who think they have the right to violate the law by interfering in that protected freedom of religious expression.

YOU are the one behaving as if the world revolves around you, not I. The fact is NO ONE is prohibiting you from celebrating your religious holiday the way you want. NO ONE.

And nice slight of hand there Egbert ... but we're not talking about private property, so you can stuff that arrogant nonsense you know where! How big of you to agree to allow a private person their christmas display at home .... what a fellow!!!

I swear, what a foul group you people are ... and why you'rw going to lose so bad.

We all know we are talking about public property and rights of religious exercise. The fact of the matter is that America is not a theocracy so no one religion should be represented on government grounds.
