True, "the House has made efforts" but holding hearings does not hold anyone accountable.

Hearings are only the first step. Hearings will either exonerate or confirm activity that is not permitted. If confirmation of activity that is not permitted is confirmed, then the House has an obligation to impeach (Congress has the power to impeach any cabinet position if the President refuses to accept their resignation) whomever is involved and pass it on to the Senate for a conviction and removal from office. If the activity that is not permitted proves to also be criminal, then upon removal from office they should also be tried by the courts.

That is accountability. Something we are falling well short of today.

All part of the plan. Flashback to the Black Panther Party's goal of the total destruction of the U.S. Government and society as we know it. Elaine Brown (former leader of the original Black Panther Party) discusses the Black Panthers' goal of the end of capitalism and the "institution of a socialist scheme" at about 7:16 in this NatGeo documentary clip...

The Obamacare debacle? It's the "institution of a socialist scheme" to take over 1/6th of the U.S. economy.

"A few months ago I told the American people I did not trade arms for hostages. My heart and my best intentions still tell me that’s true, but the facts and evidence tell me it is not."
- Ronald Reagan (1987)

"Facts are stupid things."

There are many forms of deceit from the little white lies we tell in our private lives to the blackest calumny in the councils of public affairs. Deception infects every aspect of human intercourse. Some lies are told for the sake of oneself, some for the sake of others, and all for the sake of convenience, which is the bastard child of corruption. Even so, no lie can live alone; it must be supported by a whole family of falsehoods. But the most foolish deception of all, that of oneself; for in believing our own lies, we are fooling no one but ourselves.

That was a very interesting and convoluted exchange indeed. Reagan sold weapons to the Israelis who passed those weapons on to the Iranian Reform Party (who opposed the Ayatollah controlled government). That much Reagan knew about and intended from the very beginning.

However, what he could not anticipate was the transfer of those weapons by the Iranian Reform Party to Hezbollah in Lebanon. Which resulted in the release of hostages.

The facts clearly show that US arms were traded for hostages, but what Reagan said was absolutely true. That was never his intention or purpose. The purpose was to arm the Iranian resistance via the Israelis.

FYI: It was the profits from that sale of those US weapons to Israel/Iran/Hezbollah that was used to fund the Nicaraguan Contras.

House can do nothing meaningful unless Republicans take back the Senate in 2014.

The only people left that still support this boy king are idiots and fools. No sane, educated, rational person would continue to boost this train wreck of an administration and yet c-d seems to have plenty of them.

You mean terrorists? Sorry but being a US citizen doesn't make an enemy combatant somehow invulnerable.

When someone breaks into your house who happens to be a US citizen, are you going to hold a trial before you shoot him?

And of course George Bush did it too. Was it unconstitutional then?

Not sure how a sting operation is a scandal. There is no IRS scandal-- it was found that the IRS was equally hard on liberal organizations, but there were MORE conservative organizations applying for non-legit tax status. There was also no Bhengazi scandal. The guy whose story Fox accepted as fact was a liar.

Sorry you're so gullible. Now please apologize for spreading misinformation and for the manufactured scandals created by the right wing.

Yes, it's very much like Bush's warrantless wiretaps, an action that Obama has built upon.

He gave more time for people to sign up for ACA.

It is very dangerous.

The founding fathers are turning in their graves.
