I remember the cash for clunkers program. You would think that people were getting a free car. I remember asking my brother if he was going to trade his car in and he said no he couldn't because if he couldn't afford to save for a downpayment how was he going to afford a car payment. Yet so many that couldn't afford a car ran to the car lots.

I'd love to see Trey Gowdy and Obama in a no holds, no notes debate. That would make a great PPV

They are not and never were the problem. The problem was a mass of "mainstream" lending that had insufficient equity, credit, and income stability that was buying homes that were overpriced from 10 to 200% - CAUSED directly by the excessive lending.
40% of loans in 2006 were stated loans, the growth in those type of loans from 03 to 06 were 500%.

No, it would not be. Gowdy is an experienced prosecutor. Obama's a nobody who never did anything.

It is a little hard to drift away from this corrupt administration that is right here in your face. Good try though.

Law congress passed is not to your liking; just change it like all dictators do. Only one problem! America elects presidents and they can be impeached too.

Perhaps you and I are discussing different things.

What, precisely, do you mean by "stated"?

Have you answered the questions you don't have answers for yet?
