Man Boobs and Marijuana? (legal, CNN, carry, good news)

Researchers say wait and see.

"Gynecomastia is caused by a hormone imbalance between testosterone and estrogen. When the ratio between testosterone and estrogen tips in favor of estrogen, the body responds by creating excessive breast tissue. Hence, man boobs. Animal studies have shown that exposure to the active ingredient in marijuana can result in a decrease in testosterone levels, a reduction of testicular size , and abnormalities in the form and function of sperm...The number of men undergoing surgery for gynecomastia nationwide rose nearly 30% from 2011 to 2012."

But the article goes on to say that "Few studies have examined a direct causative effect between smoking marijuana and gynecomastia."

So, with legalization in some states researchers are looking for a spike in man boobs in those states. Hmmm smaller penises and man boobs...Which states legalized marijuana, again?

I know a guy who smokes pot daily, a lot of it. He is one of the skinniest guys I know, no man boobs. No guy that I know who smokes pot has man boobs. None of them.

Huh, a pot smoker complains of a condition that ~30% of men his age complain about according to the article. Therefore pot causes man boobs?

Could he happen to be just one of those third of the population?

lol, me too. There is more proof of the exposure to bpa in plastics and in the lining of canned foods causing problems in men. bpa minics estrogen. bpa is also used in some thermal inks and is transferred to our money inside cash registers. All the women cashiers at our local Safeway store went on a strike by just wearing plastic gloves and some of the men decided to too, though it should have been all the men. bpa is readily absorbed through the skin. Good news is that if one avoids using microwave containers made of clear plastic, eats fresh or frozen food and does not fondle their money, they show signs of diminished bpa levels in three days. By the way, I have smoked pot for over 30 years and show no signs of man boobs or other affects. bovine growth horomones also mimic estrogen.
