i have never seen that first poll, and it was 70 to 30 on prop 8, not 90 to 10.

You missed the part about "grading on a curve". Let me explain. When you are graded on a curve, the highest score in the class becomes 100 and all other scores are adjusted accordingly. So in this case, even if the voters disapprove of both parties, at the next election (err, "test" in this analogy), the guy with the "least worst" disapproval still wins.

With the President's approval so low, this is a prime opportunity for the GOP to succeed. However, it appears that instead of seizing on this opportunity, they are content to wallow in mediocrity. They continue to show they are great at opposition, however they have not proven any ability to lead. Until then, Democrats will continue to be the default (if unenthusiastic) choice for most Americans.

a person with a 0 is not laughing at the person with a 69 and saying "we made about the same grade".

also, a D is passing in alot of places.
No, LMFAO. I don't know where you went to school, but the schools I went to a D meant you failed and it was nothing to be proud of. A D+ was considered a passing grade and still nothing to be proud of because it meant to passed by the skin of your teeth.

I think many people skated through whatever education they got on a D. Maybe even a D-.

That's very interesting, I don't care what the stock boy at my local grocery store says about me either.

All it will take with this group is to come out again and promise everything to illegals. They're just mad that Obama hasn't handed all the illegals their easy US citizenship with all the advantages that go with it to every illegal hispanic yet.

They're getting impatient -- without citizenship, it's not as easy to bring in all their long-lost relatives here, Obama promised them they would be able to do that.

I'd prefer that Hispanics not base their approval/disapproval of the President on the number of deporations the Administration has racked up. It makes me question their loyalty to the United States of America.
