Where does it say Congress doesn't have the constitutional authority to set a minimum wage?

Do you have proof that a lose of jobs is do to the direct effect of minimum wage?

Funny watching people deny the law of supply and demand.

The economics of minimum wages are a lot more complicated than that. One big question is how a drop in the minimum wage would affect the labor share of GDP, which has been dropping over the years anyway. Basically, more and more money gets shunted away from people with the highest marginal propensity to spend, leading to economic slowdown and the "pooling" of capital into a small wealthy elite.

In other words, the stereotypical economy of a third-world nation with a small middle class.

Ending minimum wage would mean all wages would go down so if you make min wage now then your wage would be $3 to $4. Crimes would increase as people desperate to survive. As cost of living creases min wage should increase every 3 yrs so people would not have to be homeless

No it wouldn't. No one has ever reduced a person's wages.

Do you remember when we used to have gas station attendants? They were replaced by "self serve."

In the marketing department where I once worked, we would often hire people to do things like filing. When the minimum wage went up, those jobs would be eliminated. Everyone else had to take up the slack.

Automation is increased when minimum wage gets too high.

Yes, there is plenty of proof.

And the Republicans just keep digging and counting on winning by supporting those with deep pockets while hurting the vast majority of Americans. Maybe this would help them win an election if they changed voting laws to make the more money you have the more weight your vote carries...hmmm...wouldn't surprise me if they tried to pass that.

Automation will happen regardless of wages. Even factories in Bangladesh are increasing their usage of automated systems, and human labor there is just about as close to free as you're going to find. A minimum wage increase would at least allow people to accumulate a bit more capital before automation culls them anyway.
