Oh really Mr. President isn't funny that mainly conservative groups were targeted. I must admit Mr. President
Sal Alinsky taught you well.

There wasn't any "targeting of conservatives"; the IRS literally was doing what it ALWAYS has done - target those entities (individuals/corporations) that meet certain trigger parameters. As revealed way late in the "scandal" investigation, groups and individuals of ALL ilk were "targetted".

BTW - it used to be that the methodology of how the IRS decides to audit entities was a deep dark secret...and that dates back at least...let's see...uh, 40 years ago (since, about that long ago, I and thousands of former grad students were "targetted" about our research stipends with no one willing to say WHY we were selected - interestingly, how one came out of the audit could depend on the ex-student's naive answer to questions like "Did you do the same work as others?").

Actually the bad part is that the IRS did not simply refuse as it should have. It was fear of the political response that they did not do that. The right outcome is clear...but politics led to milling in circles.

The IRS also acted in concert with other federal agencies to conspire against political opponents.

It is clear from the IRS response during hearings that they feel above the law as only they can with the knowledge the president will protect them.

This will be Obama's watergate.

Anyone with any foresight beyond their immediate partisan regurgitations would see this as a significant concern for the founding principles of this country.

Before the paritsan dismissals are spouted, yes, this should be a concern for any party. This is a "government of the people by the people for the people" concern.

Answer me these questions then, why did Lerner who subsequently pleaded the fifth plant this question during a press conference and affirm they were targeted?

Why has so many people at the IRS said that conservative groups were targeted?

Why does the IG report say they were targeted?

Last but not least if that is the case why were Conservative groups getting the runaround while liberal groups were sailing through this process?

You really have to bury your head in the sand to suggest conservative were not targeted.
