He will go down as the worst president in our history.

There has been a sharp rise in tensions between Washington and several major Arab states in the wake of last month’s controversial interim agreement with Iran over its nuclear programme.

Citing President Obama’s handling of the recent crisis over Syria’s chemical weapons, which allowed Russian President Vladimir Putin to seize the initiative, Sheikh Salman said some states were now seriously reviewing their relations with the US.

“The Russians have proved they are reliable friends,” said Sheikh Salman, referring to Mr Putin’s diplomatic intervention to prevent Western military action against Bashar al-Assad.
The sad thing is that republicans don't even care about the above foreign problems, they only use these problems to politically manipulate people.

example,

GW Bush attacked Iraq in the name of Sept 11 (when Iraq had nothing to do with Sept 11.) And at the time of Sept 11 Germany had more terrorist cells than Iraq. But Bush went to Iraq and killed 100,000 innocent Iraqi people, and this turned Iraq into a terrorist breeding ground, and now 10,000's of Iraqi's want to kill Americans.

Do republicans care about GW Bush doing the above?

answer: Hell no. Republicans only use this trivial Egypt, Russia, Saudi Arabia crap to start a bash Obama party (so their boy can win the next election, and they can get their supply side tax cuts and corporate deregulation.)

Don't you have some sand to stick your head in?

BTW, the article was not just some Obama hating opinion peace with no substance, it quoted "Sheikh Salman bin Hamad al-Khalifa, the Crown Prince of Bahrain, warned that Barack Obama's administration would lose influence in the region if it persisted with what a “transient and reactive” foreign policy."

Geez! Every time Obama's inept policies and there disastrous effects are discussed, you guys run back to Booooosh.

Iraq was an ally of the US after Bush left office, now they are leaning towards Iran, Egypt is leaning towards Russia.

BTW, what excuse did Obama give for invading Libya? How about none, he just invaded all by his lonesome without a word to the people or the Congress. At least Boooosh spent a year getting Congressional authorization first.

Iraq and Egypt have NEVER been our allies.

What have either of those countries ever done for the United States to warrant such a status as ally?

Name something.

Their crooked leaders used us to help themselves stay in power, that's all.

It's because of the hyer-partisan rage that the anti-Obama folks will "spin" anything, any opinion, any article, any editorial to make some kind of bogus point.

The fact is ... if Romney had been elected and had implemented the exact and precisely the same foreign policy, these people would be praising him to the heavens. They do not understand the intracaies, pitfalls, and complex straregies of our foreign policies. They are ignorant. They just want want to express an uninformed point of view.

Someone should tell the author of that editorial that schizophrenia and multiple personality disorder are two completely different things.

So let's get this straight: Bahrain, Egypt and Saudi are so pissed off at Obama for his overtures to Iran, they are going to tilt towards Putin, who is an unabashed friend of Iran and who even the article admits saved Iran's junior partner, Assad.

I'm not saying something that convoluted is absolutely impossible, but it requires a lot more evidence to be considered credible than is provided by the Telegraph.

to be fair i dont see obama making a lot of foreign policy mistakes. consistently high marks. i regret getting him in office bek of the monster debt and 12 year ongoing war, but foreign policy approach is far superior to bush.
drones & special ops, and intrusions without permission, the new world of war. the mid east is outraged at all of the above, bek they work. trust me they dont care about women and kids getting blown up they use them for human shields when they do attacks. they dont care about them. they care about leaders of al queda being blown up.

I don't give a damn about the Middle East beyond that.

We don't have any allies in the Middle East. We have interests only...and that list of interests are as follows:

1. Oil.

This public service was brought to you by DD.
Oil indirectly. Our direct interest is actually petro-dollars. Russia and China are signing agreements all over the world that serve to undermine the petro-dollar, which happens to be the sole remaining point of leverage for the United States. Once petro-dollars are neutralized, even our military won't be able to save the USA.

Study up.
