Lots have signed up; very few have paid. Many were under the impression it was "free". Well, well.
Another technicality Obama will strongly encourage insurers to ignore for people who haven't paid is that they have to start the process all over again. Usually when someone doesn't pay by the due date, the application is void, a new application must be submitted. Although the website is 'fixed' , can you imagine if all who didn't pay had to start over.

Obviously Obama doesn't know his base as well as he claims he does. Many of those people don't have checking accounts. They have to go to check cashing places.
"Many in New York’s professional and cultural elite have long supported President Obama’s health care plan. But now, to their surprise, thousands of writers, opera singers, music teachers, photographers, doctors, lawyers and others are learning that their health insurance plans are being canceled and they may have to pay more to get comparable coverage, if they can find it."
"But under the Affordable Care Act, they will be treated as individuals, responsible for their own insurance policies. For many of them, that is likely to mean they will no longer have access to a wide network of doctors and a range of plans tailored to their needs. Yes, just as I suspected -- "professional and cultural elite" suffer from a lack of critical thinking skills. Otherwise, they never would have voted for the moron they did.
Hey, maybe one of them can whip up a "Thanks, Obama!" meme featuring The Three Stooges -- Barry, Harry, and Scary (pelosi, of course). That will make things all better.
