These are the same people who probably start panicking when they see bat boy's picture on the cover of World News Daily at the grocery store check-out. "There's a picture, it MUST be true!"

It's simply a case of them seeing what they want to see -- not what they actually see, but what they want to see.

Or she could have been paying attention to what was going on, I am sure there was a lot to take in at that memorial.

Do you jump in on every conversation your SO has with someone else? Especially at an event where there are other things to ay attention to?

Hehe. Therein lies the problem - there was too much going on:

Thanks for the cherry picking, Europeans always kiss on the cheek. Also, those photos only tell you what you want them to tell you, they don't tell you what was actually going on which looked like two political leaders being friendly to each other.

I did not watch it, I was not there, so there is your context. Even if most people were playing the fool, our president should hold himself to a more dignified standard since he's not the same as everyone else who is clowning around, he is representing our country. That does not mean he is stone-faced and aloof. But then I'm probably talking to people who have lowered the bar on public decorum and civility and have a degraded viewpoint on what passes as acceptable behavior from a president.

Clearly someone noticed because Michelle sat between them at some point.
