Temporary residents with little or no skin in the game shouldn't be influencing local elections, if you're going to school at the very least you should need to establish at least one year of contiguous off campus residency otherwise vote in your home district.
Back in the early 90's some people wanted to build a sports arena in my County using County tax dollars. The pro arena people courted the local college students and it was narrowly defeated, the only reason it was close is becsue of those votes from the college students. Had it passed those people would have been long gone after they graduated and the county taxpayers would have just finished paying off the debt right around now.
Temporary residents??? What the **** do you think the students at the conservative college are? This has nothing at all to do with being a "temporary resident" What part of the students at the liberal college are being targeted but the students at the conservative college aren't did you not get?

Show me a link that shows Conservative college students being allowed to vote and Liberal college students not being allowed to vote. I'd like to investigate the details of this for myelf.
You know, by your logic, having to fill out a form and register to vote is racist. Having to go to a polling location is racist. Having to sign your name to a form is racist......
It's only racist if it applies to one race only. Whites would have to get a voter ID the same as Blacks, Browns, yellows, Reds, greens, pinks, and purples. It applies to every race, so no, it's not racist.
There is no suppression going on. Look up the definition of that word and get back to me, If it were suppression, that would mean that someone deliberately did something to keep one group in particular from voting. An example would be taking a van filled with black voters to the wrong polling place. THAT would qualify as suppression. They should call these laws "anti-lazy voter" laws.
Yes, somebody IS DOING SOMETHING! Why the hell do you think we have 8 hour lines (Oh sorry I forgot, you only waited 10 minutes so that means everybody else only waited 10 minutes)

No that was me that waited 10 mins tops, yep standing in a very short line with democrats.
Somebody is doing something? lol, Democrats sound like a bunch of paranoid schizophrenic. So who else is out to get you?

Calm down son, Reference?
In any event I would apply those rules to every college student.
The reason Liberals don't like them is because some people are too lazy to go down and get a free ID in order to be able to vote, so they don't go and get them and they don't go vote. That of course eliminates a large portion of Dem voters....
If you don't care enough to go and get an ID you don't deserve to vote imo.....
The reason they call it racist is because the voters it mainly eliminates is black voters..... hey, if the shoe fits.....
It's not racist it's just a fact.
If the Dems can organize people to take voters to the polls in buses they can organize people to help voters get an ID card.
ID cards are needed for many things, not just voting.
