I dont think we should underrate designed and engineered in the USA. Apple and Microsoft employ thousands of high paid engineers to design their products. Microsoft employs thousand in Seattle and they have competed very well with the Xbox against their Japanese competitiors Sony and Nintendo. I think all of the consoles are made in China. The Google-Motorola phone is the first cell phone made in the US in several years. Stuff will be make here again but the factories will be more automated.
My beef is with the semantical gymnastics. Its pretty disgusting..... no telling how many people have been fooled by Whirlpool's attempt sell products using pro-America labeling.

The only way to send a message is to STOP BUYING these products. But of course these companies got Americans by the leash due to low prices made in China.
What a crock of donkey dung! Whirlpool is simply engaging in semantical gymnastics to try to make it seem like their products are from the Good Ole' USA.If you didn't manufacture it here, then it's not an American product! It's an American CONCEPT!
I wonder how many unsuspecting customers have bought a Whirlpool appliance because they thought it was still "American Made?"
"Notice they didn't say "MANUFACTURED" in the USA!
So, we should be concerned because YOU don't understand plain English?
It DOESN'T say "MANUFACTURED" in the USA' Because it isn't.
Your intellectual dishonesty and fundamental disingenuousess on full display.
Congratulations!
