President Putin seized tighter control of the Russian media yesterday, shutting down the historic RIA-Novosti news agency and appointing a television presenter famous for anti-gay views to head a revamped state media group.
...and this dictator is a hero of the American right wing.
no? Is that what liberal media tells you? It reminds me about the time when the obama admin went after fox. It's pretty bad when a man like this saves Obamas ass though.
Why would this surprise anyone? The man is a devout communist. I don't know anyone who thinks Putin is a great guy. What he is though is a powerful leader. He made Obama look like an idiot. I wouldn't vote for either man for dog catcher.

He is? Since when?
Actually, I would think he would be your hero, since it is the Progressives that share Putin's views of the role of government, and support a Press that serves as the government's mouthpiece.

He's just another guy who wants to squander an entire nations wealth for him and his buddies. Sort of like what is coming in this country! Putin seems powerful compared to Obama since he's a dictator and whatever he says goes. Obama has to deal with a bunch of cranky old men in congress who can shut down the government down if they don't get what they want.
