If there's an ordinance against using too much water during a time of shortages, then it's OK to fill an in-ground pool because it's on private property?

The city provides the water....they can then cut it off. The guy is washing his car not molesting children. What a racket we could have here. The mayor and a couple councilmen buy up the local car washes and then make it illegal to wash your own car in your own driveway. After all that's what getting elected is all about now.

The cops were very polite. I applaud their attitude.

But you are correct. Who would want to live in a town where the people are so high and mighty? I wouldn't even want to visit such a place. Washing your car on the driveway is an American tradition.

What? Abortion has nothing to do with it. You know exactly what I'm talking about & the fact that you had to twist it shows just how right I was. You get a fail.

So what if it's on private property? You can't play music loudly if you want during the night. We live in civilization. If you want to live in civilization, you have rules to follow. Private property is not unlimited. Let me guess, you're also against rules forcing you to rake your lawn in the fall, am I right?

You left wingers really don't know the differences between "laws", "regulations" and "ordinances", do you? Or perhaps you just love all three equally?

I think that's it ... the issue or matter is really not relevant .. anything that forces someone to do something they don't want to do, or prohibits them from doing what they do want to do, or any mechanism that bans something, or restricts another, or regulates activity .. well, it's all good to you all.

Apparently the only thing you all dislike more than honesty, is freedom .. that nasty other "F" word. And it really is impossible for rational people to grasp such a self defeating mindset which hates the idea of their own freedom to choose.

Maybe you all just so loath the concept that others might enjoy such liberty, that you're more than willing to give up your own, just to ensure they don't have any?
Oh my....grow up man! You walk into ANY place, there are rules to follow. Are you not gonna follow the rules posted in a hotel pool because someone says you're not allowed to do something?

This is you, "how dare the government tell me when I can and cannot go!"

I made this topic last month to put people like you in the spotlight, and I am pretty damn accurate:

I have no idea what you are talking about but that aside from what I've been able to gather is the law does NOT state that you can't wash your car in public view. It states that you can't wash your car on public places. He is washing his car on a private spot. To say that the laws means that you can't in public view would be stupid as almost anywhere you take your call to wash it is in public view.

A hotel pool can set their own rules as they are private property. Did you even think this one through?
