I don't think that conservatives "hate" homosexuals. I've always been a pro-marriage equality kinda dude, but a good friend of mine is a fairly ardent pro-traditional marriage guy and he and I have the same gay friends. He just doesn't support it because the catholic church doesn't. Which I think is a little silly, but it's not for adherants to that religion.
Not supporting something isn't tantamount to hating it.

I think the Op is mixing up hate with belief marriage is between a man and woman. I guess if I don't get same thing in life as others they hate me; get a gripe.
I know you, as a gay man, see things differently than I do, but I do not hate gays. If you don't believe me, then that is not my problem, it's yours.
Can you tell me why you don't believe gays should get equal treatment of marriage? I don't want pedophilia to be legal. Why? Because I don't like pedophiles.
