Why don't we all just follow this chart from now on? I've been politely responding with a "you too" (when people wish me a Merry Christmas, even though I'm Jewish) my entire life, and don't find it all that complicated. Is it really too difficult for Christians?
Well that Ben Stein "Christmas Confession" email is making the rounds again. Every year since, what, 2006? It's been added to, altered, embellished, and the claims are always THIS JUST HAPPENED! I swear, I've probably made a lot of enemies on FB today because I couldn't stand to let that piece of "war on Christmas" bullshat go. I'm in a mood, and my smiling and nodding days are over.
No, they obviously meant G-d. And if you don't know why it was written that way, I would suggest reading (or re-reading) the Torah... you know, that part of the Bible Christians tend to ignore unless it's convenient for them?
I'm not Christian and I don't care about the Bible.
I'm not Christian and I don't care about the Bible.
Okay... then why did you correct them for writing G-d? One would think if you aren't a Christian, and don't care about the Bible, that wouldn't have bothered you. Just being a smarta$$, I guess?
For the record, I never said you were a Christian - I was only letting you know that "rule" (regarding not writing the Lord's name in full) is in the Torah.
