Well ---- obviously she doesn't believe Jesus was the first Messiah, but like a typical liberal, she would have seen Bill Clinton as a Messiah. That would make Obama the second Messiah.

I wonder who are in the 43% who approve of Obama's performance; how deluded they are when he's been caught in lie after lie, scandal after scandal. How his signature legislation is a disaster. How US casualties in Afghanistan have skyrocketed since he took office. Drones, domestic spying, targeting political enemies, record numbers on food stamps, etc. Nixon's approval rating was only 14% lower AFTER Watergate. With how much hanging over Obama's head, it's amazing and very disturbing how so many people have convinced themselves he's a great President.
It seems no matter how bad things get, there's a certain segment who legitimately think things are going well because they want to protect Obama's legacy no matter what.

Someone of her age, with her previous experience as an actual journalist would/should know better than to believe that of any politician, doesn't matter how charismatic.
I never believed Mr. Obama was anything other than better than the alternative either time I voted for him.

The net result of filibuster and partisan gridlock is sometimes nothing. As I said, and I didn't stutter. IMO it would be better to actually RUN THE COUNTRY than to run down the man running the country. If you don't want to consider UHC for the unwashed masses, then do not, under any circumstances, allow Progressives to get control of the White House. If you fail to prevent that, then you will have to contend with the distasteful task of sabotaging their efforts at health care reform, environmental advocacy, Medicare expansion, infrastructure improvement and <gasp> Climate Change.

The Obama-cult was like nothing I've seen before. Newsweek editor Evan Thomas summed up the worship pretty well when he said ---

The media stood with him for 5 years and in no way will throw him under the bus.
Essentially ALL LIBERALS have ignored Obama's dismal performance and still support him, without question, simply because he is a liberal. In thier eyes, he can do no wrong.
