After Kelly's racist comments about Santa and Jesus, she should have been fired. Was she? Of course not, she got a pat on the back and nothing happened.
After Robertson's anti-gay hate talk were the right wingers calling for them to be thrown off the air? Of course not, they cried conspiracy that his 1st amendment rights were being violated.

The hypocrisy from the right is astonishing.
What racist comments for Kelly? The original Santa Claus was WHITE. The person in your familiy that PLAYS Santa Claus can be any color you want.
Hypocrisy is prevalent on both sides of the aisle. To use the Dixie Chicks example, many of the same people who supported them after Natalie Maines stated her opinion are the same ones who are bashing Phil Robertson for stating his. On the flip side, many of those who are supporting Phil Robertson are the same ones who bashed the Dixie Chicks. It's a symptom of the partisan divide in this country. My personal opinion is that if you only support free speech (although this isn't really a free speech issue) when the person making the statement agrees with your point of view, then you are a huge part of the problem.
well said.

the left does the same thing, so dont pretend that it is one sided here.
I did not read the GQ article, but I assume that Phil responded to a question ~ right? So GQ asked him a question and he answered it ~ right? Of course, I'm sure the interviewer knew that Phil is a conservative, which leads me to suspect that there was a set-up. Too bad Phil didn't sense that one coming and just say "no comment". But A&E probably would have $hit their pants, anyway.

Complete BS.
Bashir? Fired
Baldwin? Fired
Those on the left take responsibility for their actions, those on the right applaud them for when they say hate-filled remarks.
