You don't smoke butane-laced pot. The butane is for extracting the THC from the bud, since THC is soluble in butane (but not in water). You evaporate the butane away and the gooey substance left behind is a much purer form of concentrated THC. It is perfectly safe to smoke and can give you some truly mind-bending highs.

Funny. I'm amused when folks try to experiment with only a half-azz idea of what/why they are doing what they do. This is a better deterrent for this process than any anti-weed commercial.
