Obama has an ACA compliant insurance policy. What's your point other than you have no clue what the ACA is?

But is it one of those five star Cadillac plans that the ACA wants to punish people for having?

All that shows is the that the porky pig legislators had a great gold plated plan paid for by taxpayers that they couldn't afford in the real world.

Just a note of curiosity - WHY should Obama even have a health care insurance plan?

As Commander-in-Chief he has a physician full-time in his entourage and, when he or his family become ill, they are immediately taken to the nearest military medical facilities - Walter Reed comes to mind where there is a special Presidential Suite waiting for them.

And, I threw in the "death panel" reference as it is factually becoming a part of the ACA as regulated by HHS.

Let's reframe this:

If you have employer based healthcare insurance, you have no need to buy an individual healthcare policy. The group healthcare plans being sold to government employees are ACA compliant.

Back when, a Republican added the quirk to the law that requires Congress and their staffers to buy individual ACA compliant policies. The federal government will continue to subsidize the cost of this insurance for members of Congress.

Some in Congress have declined the subsidy. Given most enter Congress as members of the 1% club the cost is not a hardship. Most, however will take and apply the subsidy to reduce their out of pocket expenditures.

In the real world everyone is now paying more for their health care insurance, and getting a far worse product in return. Premiums and deductibles are truly insane under AHA. Once employers start dumping millions of employees into the Federal Exchange next year and dropping their insurance coverage completely. Democrats will be distancing themselves as much as possible from their sole involvement in AHA, out of fear of being lynched by their own constituents.

Americans have only come to realize half of how the Democrats totally screwed them. Next year the other shoe will drop.

The exchange does not require one to enter their Social Security # and does not accept payment for any plan.

Then how does it verify your identity and confirm with the IRS your salary from last year to determine premium subsidies? Or is all of this on the honor system?
