New show to air next week. Is this to get us use to polygamy? Are we now asked to accept it as a normal lifestyle?

The TV series "Big Love" was about polygamy as well.

Personally, I'm not interested in any marriage for myself.
But, as always, others can do as they choose if they're consenting adults.

How does anything like that affect me?
Oh yeah, it doesn't.

I watched it a few times and found it interesting.
There were some nuances that I never considered.
I figure if it makes me think or open my mind to things I never considered before, it's a good thing.

It is a normal lifestyle, has been for thousands of years and longer. Whats a new idea is the one man, one woman form of marriage that our puritanical belief system won't let people shake how they think.

If three adults want to live together, have children together, and love one another equally, who are we to decide that is wrong for them?

Marriage is about law and property and has traditionally favored a male dominated household that owned everything and everyone involved.

Love is about caring for other individuals and is beyond law or control.

I find this very odd.

Janelle, it is a reality tv show that you have the ability to not watch. Unless, you are afraid that other people will view it as normal. And many people already view it as normal.
