your response proves my contention- liberals have sacrificed rational thought and common sense in favor of fanatacism and support for the failed policies of one man. Such a "thought process" has vacated any connection with individual thought and critical thinking and has entered the realm of blind idol worship.
1.providing healthcare for millions who could not afford it previously?
A. 100 million more americans will lose healthcare coverage as a result of obamacare
b. The vast number of "enrollees" are medicaid. They could have signed up for medicaid before.
C. Premiums have increased for most americans
d. Deductibles have increased for most americans
e. Access has decreased.
2. Obamacare looted $750 billion from medicare
a. Reimbursement has declined for providers
b. Providers are either limiting access for medicare patients or bailing entirely
c. After the 60% cut in reimbursements for total joints, good luck in getting a knee or hip in the us.
3. Minimum wage?
I have no problem with people earning what they can. However, such a move-
a. Increases unemployment
b. Drives many small businesses out of business
c. Results in price escalation around the economy, which results in the worker gaining no net buying power.
4. Giving benefits to those who have lost their jobs?
A. How long should "unemployment" go on? Two years? Four years? Ten years? Twenty years?
B. There are many, many jobs available, yet most are too lazy to take them. A good example is welder's assistants in the oil/gas fields. $30/hour in nd, in, and oh- $20/hour in tx, ok. However, it is hard work, so people would rather stay on unemployment.
C. Many of those on unemployment say that they can get a job, but choose not to do so, as long as unemployment benefits keep coming in.
I am completely for the working class- that is where i come from. However, "helping" the working class does not mean-
1. Developing nafta and china most favored nation trade status to gut the manufacturing sector
2. Raising taxes on business and individuals to decrease economic activity
3. Adding obamacare to deter employers from expanding and new hires
4. War on coal to put whole regions out of work
5. Opposing domestic energy exploration on federal lands, which could put millions to work
6. Supporting epa regulations which stifle business and thus employment
7. Raising taxes on the middle class to implement obamacare
8. Flooding the us with illegal immigrants, driving down wages and increasing federal costs
9. Opposing school vouchers, which allow motivated students to ascend in life
10. Cutting wages and benefits to military families (gee.......... Are they rich?).
11. Opposition to national right to work act
12. Supporting the trial lawyers association, bleeding industry and reducing job creation.
13. Supporting massive cuts in medicare (thus reducing access) in order to support an ill conceived plan of obamacare.
You see............................. You are the worst enemy of the middle class. The path to ruin is paved with good intentions.
Every four years, one party loses, and fools conclude the losing party will never win again. This was particularly said after the Goldwater crushing in 1964. It is phooey.
Capitalism works, and socialism doesn’t: that’s the lesson of the 20th century. American capitalism, like freedom, will outlast Obama.

We conservatives are optimistic.
Demographics...
The democrats rely on a diverse voter base. The Republicans don't. Now this wouldn't be much of an issue if the Republicans relied on a growing base, except they don't and aren't. Of course, the Republicans can always stop being the stupid party and appeal to more than just white people, but it remains to be seen whether that will be the case or not.
Bush II and McCain are nowhere close to being right wing
My apologies for not being clearer - THEY are not extreme right-wing, their VPs are extreme right-wing and, in the case of Palin, brought extreme right wing pronouncements right into everywhere.
Been into the mushrooms (or something similar) Harrier sees.
Something has to explain your distorted view of reality.
Do you work for the president's public relations department?
They must be working overtime right now.
Got to get those poll numbers up.
as you must on that 'other' forum.
shills galore.
GOP fails to realize that people not in the beltway living in 12 million dollar townhomes:
A) are sick of billionaires, and corporate media sucking their ----
B) want to have a normal, peaceful life (if possible) and mind their own business. Note to GOP: Please note people with a brain don't give a flying fig about media blitz, trash PR campaigns you have organized (some by McCains 'gem" of a lobbyist Pfotenhauer, what a FRAUD).
I am 200% disgusted with the state of Congress, the divisiveness and bs media "news" they crank out with daily propaganda.
Face it ;Obama has been like a person shooting himself in the foot to get rid of what he sees as a pain in the foot. Some humans always wished someone would do magic or would win lottery to be come a millionaire. As long as there are humans; there will be dreamers and snake oil salesman pitching them promises.
Is the OP reposting something he wrote a year ago? If anything current events and trends would suggest that the viability of Obama's Presidency and the Democratic ideology are coming to an end rather than the GOP. Could the GOP as an organization end in the near future? That is in the cards, but it's too early to say, and even if it did happen it would have more to do with the failures of George W. Bush and the ascendancy of Ron Paul and the libertarian viewpoint than any success Obama enjoyed.

Brilliance. Now, please visit the Work and Employment forum so that they, too, can get a better understanding of the last 13 that you listed....because they do NOT get it.
In reflecting on this year, and every year since Obama was inaugurated, it is startling how opposed those on the Right are to his every move. Is it likely that EVERY single word he utters, every single action he takes, and every single idea he has, is wrong? No. The only explanation for the irrational opposition is that the GOP realizes that President Obama signifies the end of the GOP. It signifies that the President of the United States can no longer be elected by a white majority. It signifies that the country is moving away from the ideology of the Right. Throughout President Obama's two terms, he has demonstrated why this move is a vast improvement. He is smart, poised, dignified, and humble. He exudes class, integrity, resolve, and he is resolute when faced with adversity. He challenges others to approach the problems that plague this nation, in a high and noble fashion. Foreign nations respect and admire him. Our enemies fear him because they know that he stands for high principles. He reaches across the table to get stuff done, and invites opposing viewpoints. "Ideological purity does not get stuff done", he once stated. He is a President for ALL, not just the rich and privileged. He cares about the 47% that the GOP has utter disdain for.
President Obama has accomplished a great deal while in office. He has been an exceptional President thus far. His greatest achievement, by far, is that he, by his actions, words, ideas, and programs, represents the END of the GOP.
But this is exactly what the Democrats did with Bush. Exactly.
While I have no love for the GOP (Or the Democrats) & don't give a damn if their party crashes and burns, I fear the idea of the fascist, militaristic, style Government the Progressives love being the sole party. It sounds like Nazi Germany, or the Soviet Union to me.

Peace out.
As much as I despise the GOP, I think (like a lot of well intentioned people) that you're off here because A) The Democrats are every bit or more the party of the elite billionaires and corporate media, and B) There can be no "Normal" or "peaceful" life with the Democrats in charge. They're owned by the corporations and military industrial complex and Obama alone has attacked what 7-8 new countries, sent troops into others, continued the war in Afghanistan and is keeping uis in Iraq permanently.
The ONLY way to escape the things you list is to reject both the Republican and Democrat parties, which I certainly do.
