If you want to discuss inter-racial marriage, go find a thread about that topic, or start your own.
Ah, but the principle is the same. The 14th Amendment requires equal treatment of all citizens unless the state can show a compelling reason not to do so. What compelling reason is there to deny same sex couples to marry?

The Tenth Amendment tells the federal government to stay out of the several states business.
The Fourteenth Amendment did not repeal the Tenth Amendment.
What is hilarious is your ridiculous claim that the earth is several million years old, and the number keeps growing year after year.
Actually, I believe the estimates are that the Earth is around 4.5 billion years old. Rocks about 3.5 billion years old have been found on all of the continents.
The Golden Rule was created by Jesus Christ - and liberals hate the people who accept Him as their Lord and Savior.
Aha, there it is again, the bottom line of your hate of gay people, your religion. Public policy is just that and religion has no say in it. The golden rule is simple and in its essence can be followed without it being religious. Do not like the pain of being hit, do not hit someone, it is really about empathy. If one can empathize on how someone would feel in a given situation, they may avoid that situation. That is how my mom taught me without involving religion. Or as she would say, if you do not like getting kicked, do not kick someone. Oddly many against same sex marriage do not see or understand that they are doing harm to the children of gay parents and to gay people themselves. They lack empathy.

You keep mentioning religion in a debate about public policy.
Harrier only responded to another poster who brought up a religious concept.
Stop mentioning religion.
It has no place in a debate about public policy.
