I will bet that this TV show could never be shown today if it hadn't been around over 45 years. First created in 1963 it took two years to get TV executives over 2 years to accept it, for a variety of reasons. The reason I don't think it could be sold today is the final scenes where Linus explains what the meaning of Christmas is quoting from the King James version of the Bible.
This thing show has been seen for the full 45 years near Christmas time according to this link. Once or twice every year it comes on TV. I guess this is proof that there is no war on Christmas. I wonder how many people here have seen the thing on TV at any of those showings. I think I have seen every one of the showings.
I think that Schulz, the creator of Peanuts intended to show how much commercialism and secularism had damaged the true meaning of Christmas. Here Linus is reading the true meaning to Charlie.
I used to watch this as a kid before I knew any better. Now, as an adult liberal, I realize what a horrible prejudiced Christo-fascist piece of propangada this is.

Your loss, you have my deepest sympathy for growing up and loosing your sanity...

Either you remembered the part at the end where Linus explained to Charlie or you did some fast research since you posted before I added the YouTube of Linus doing his thing.
At least you found out why this probably wouldn't be shown today if it hadn't been produced so long ago. As an adult liberal, you seem to be so very biased toward anything like this. So much like most of the TV bigwigs of today.
So it couldn't be shown today...even though it is shown like all the fricken time in December?
You do know your first paragraph is invalidated by reality and your second paragraph right?
If it is still shown, why are you mad?
I believe I mentioned, in my so biased introduction that it would probably not be shown today because of who is running TV mostly. Maybe you should have read Cobb before you answered. He said what you would like to have said so surely you could have just agreed and not got so nasty.
He's old and logic isn't his strong suit, sub. It's best to humor him and play along as if Christainity is under siege.
Do you really think this thing could make it on TV today if it had been created last year? It is hard to keep it off now since so many children have seen it so many times and even progs like you go ahead and see it again. The only anumated things that will always be sold are those about the "Story of Stuff" and others of that kind.

See what I mean, sub? It's best to just play along.
