You don't know WHAT side of the aisle most women are on. Why do people gravitate to slimy polictians to admire and poll?

Yep. Otherwise, I suspect the title of this thread would be much different. Something along the lines of "Gallup Poll Affirms <insert Conservative names here> most admired in America!!!" with much celebratory rhetoric to follow.

So 1,031 represents a "broad group to survey" to you?

What's your idea of a big city? Sopchoppy, FL?

For fun, here are the winners:

The top men: Obama, 16%; Bush, 4%; Pope Francis, 4%; Bill Clinton, 2%; Billy Graham, 2%; Bill Gates, 1%; Eastwood, 1%; Ron Paul, 1%; Ted Cruz, 1%; Mitt Romney, 1%; Jimmy Carter, 1%.

The top women: Hillary Clinton, 15%; Oprah Winfrey, 6%; Michelle Obama, 5%; Sarah Palin, 5%; Malala Yousafzai, 2%; Condoleezza Rice, 2%; Angela Merkel, 1%; Angelina Jolie, 1%; Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, 1%; Queen Elizabeth II, 1%.

It's interesting that Michelle O and Sarah P tied.

Even more interesting that Pope Francis was only 2% ahead of Bill "Devil On The Blue Dress" Clinton.

I'd love to poll the 16% that admire Hillary, just to see why they do. Politicians of ALL stripes are not meant to be admired or trusted, unless of course you admire ethically and morally bankrupt human beings.

Obama and Clinton were up last year because 2012 was an election year. Both Obama and Clinton were at 17% in 2011 - yet Obama still won the election.

No. There was a list for both man and woman.

Here are the results for the Gallup website:
Obama, Clinton Continue Reign as Most Admired

If favorability counts for as much as pundits say it does in elections, the poll is a sign of big trouble for Cruz, if he wants to run for President. He only got 1%. Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, and Jimmy Carter also got 1% as well, and Bill Clinton got 2%, the same as Billy Graham.

George W. Bush pulled the same favorability as Pope Francis at 4%. They tied for second place.

It looked to me like the folks being polled weren't enthusiastic about the entire field as much as they've been in the past. But at 16%, Obama was the only one of the men to pull double digits.

Hillary got 15% of the mentions for 1st place. Oprah Winfrey was second at 6%, and Michelle Obama and Sarah Palin tied for 3rd at 5% apiece. Malala, the Muslim Afghani teen who was shot for speaking out against the Taliban tied with Condaleeza Rice at 2%, and all the other women got 1% apiece. hillary was the only woman to pull double digits.

It looks to me that the most popular politicians right now are the ones who won't run again in either party. Bush and Obama are done as candidates, and I firmly believe Hillary won't run in 2016. I also believe Palin will not run again too.
