This. I used to support affirmative action until I lost a job to a less qualified person. People should be hired based on talent, experience, education etc NOT race.

Your question is more serious than you may realize. White people from South Africa are technically African Americans. There have been cases of schools punishing White students from there that choose to identify as such.
is unfair to me that a white Cuban or a Lebanese can get affirmative action in the US as a "nonwhite" or "minority" when I, who look similar to both, could not.
Or how a Brazilian of Italian and Portuguese descent in the US gets the benefits of being a minority, but me with a similar background in the US is just "white" and could get passed over in the college admissions process by a blonde, blue eyed Argentine.
I have yet to see how a white Cuban or Argentine, or a Lebanese Christian in the US is "oppressed" in any way.

How can one lose a job to a less qualified person be caused of affirmative action? What company has a set of EEOC rules that states one's job can be terminated because of AA regulations to replace said worker with a less qualified hire?

Whites from South Africa are White South Africans, not African Americans, who are a distinct North American ethnic group.
