Meth has taken over. It has a similar effect to coke but lasts 10 times longer and is cheaper. So coke has lost its appeal to a lot of ppl. Its no longer seen as cool or classy anymore. Now crack, most crackheads are dying off the new generation wants nothing to do with that stuff.

so I guess cocaine being frying pan number 1 has declined because prescript pain meds being frying pan number 2 is on full heat..

from the oven to the broiler

the drop in cocaine use has nothing to do with the war on illegal drugs,, the addicts are getting pain pills instead of coke!!! what an accomplishment

Meth is stronger and cheaper, but not healthy even for casual use because of the lingering malaise of the 3 days after. Coke after effects are not so lingering, and healthier as we age (used in moderation).

No, meth is down about 40% too

There's admitting defeat, and there is understanding the problem.

I also found it weird that when people have less money due to the economy being pure crap, they can't afford the expensive drugs.

BTW, we are not "pro drug" people. We are "pro freedom" people. And I would never use cocaine regardless of it's legality. Most "pro freedom" people never use drugs.

And there is no evidence that the war on drugs has had anything to do with a reduction in cocaine use.

Well said Roadking! Cocaine could be legalized tomorrow, as could heroin, and I would have no interest in going out and trying either of them!

I have asked you several times to show that prescription drug users are ex-cocaine users, having moved from one drug to another, but you have failed to prove it. Instead you just keep repeating that it must be so.

US & Columbian anti-drug forces have cut cocaine production by 44%. It is mentioned in the linked articles in the OP
