Who said Obama is the greatest enemy of freedom of the press in at least a generation? A Tea Party Patriot? No. A NY Times two time Pulitzer Prize journalist.

Now do you see why real liberals, as opposed to most Democrats on here who fall in the neo-liberal camp, say Obama is a center-right president; which he is?

Center right? He is to the left of any other president we ever had including FDR.

No, because corruption, narcissism, and limitation of free speech is hardly limited to just being "right" or "left."

Default NY Times Reporter: Obama "Greatest Enemy to Press Freedom in a Generation"

Obama 'Greatest Enemy To Press Freedom In A Generation' | The Daily Caller

Is the tide turning? Are people in the press starting to wake up in big enough numbers that Obama might be held accountable for a change?

That's interesting, coming from the NY Times...

However, I don't think the liberal press was ever 'fooled' by Obama. They just got on the bandwagon to suit themselves knowing full well they were perpetrating a fraud on the people, using the public to generate all kinds of benefits to themselves that we rarely hear about -- money, power, position, alliances, job security...!

There are members of the press who were never fooled. Some of those were investigated...remember James Rosen?
DOJ Targets Fox News, Accuses Reporter of a Crime ... and We Stand By James Rosen's Right as a Member of the Free Press - Fox Nation

There's a reason why the administration has the reputation of going after those that disagree. Those of the liberal
press stayed on the right side ('good side') of the President for self preservation and job security.

Now that the tide of popular opinion is turning, and the administration can no longer hide its totally ineffective governing, they are jumping ship before it goes down.

They'd better watch out. They can still be investigated. We have decades of history of such actions...remember Hillary's FBI files?

The NYT is pulling an HRC/obama!!!!!!

Distancing itself from itself as it tries to blame someone else.

The great NYT propaganda machine blames Obama!!!!!!!

Like socialist dupes giving legislators a free pass while attacking the influence of big business, when it is only the legislators who can pass legislation.

as they dance around the ring, the NYT fakes with a left!

So, was President Bush also a Great Enemy to Press Freedom in a Generation? After all, according to the link, the original subpoena was issued by the Bush Administration in 2008, with said subpoena lapsing in 2009, and Obama's Administration renewing it in 2010.

Nevertheless, the subpoena should not have been renewed. Or even issued in the first place. Pity that the article states the US Supreme Court would not accept the reporter's appeal.

He may be right, but the greatest enemy to Americans lately has been a corrupt, biased, crooked press. A news media and journalists with political agendas have been very damaging to this country for years. Yet they don't seem to care much about that. Journalism is dead.
