Why would you think that a neighboring country which is part of the same continent as the USA not have people that would be interested in the policies here? A poster asked a Canadian awhile back the same question you just did regarding an ecological issue, which was really strange, considering the fact that pollutants originating here do not need a passport to find their way to Canada and vice versa.
