Taking a Salem Witch Trial approach to political correctness only leads people to hate political correctness as a whole. It is Holyfield's right to say what he wants. If you disagree with it, then disagree with him. Even such unsavory elements as the KKK and Stormfront have the same right to free speech as the rest of us. The LGBT community has tried to forcibly deprive people of their right to free speech. Their self-righteous gestapo approach attacking free speech tends to backfire.

Uproar against the move was massively unpopular among viewers, so A&E changed their mind and Phil was never kicked off of the show. It's too early to tell, but don't be surprised if the show's ratings grow by leaps and bounds.
2.) Chick-Fil-A enjoyed record growth and sales after it's own anti-gay controversy.
