Any mention of the change in modulus of elasticity as a function of extreme temperature, and how it can affect the static stability of a structure, that sort of thing.

This thread remains innocent of any and all such consideration. Ignoramouses such as yourself dominate the conversation despite complete lack of knowledge or common sense.
Cause my Bible tells me so.

"The Killer Fires Theory is Pure Fantasy

The simple facts of temperatures:

1535ºC (2795ºF) - melting point of iron

~1510ºC (2750ºF) - melting point of typical structural steel

~825ºC (1517ºF) - maximum temperature of hydrocarbon fires burning in the atmosphere without pressurization or pre-heating (premixed fuel and air - blue flame)

Diffuse flames burn far cooler.

Oxygen-starved diffuse flames are cooler yet.

The fires in the towers were diffuse -- well below 800ºC.

Their dark smoke showed they were oxygen-starved -- particularly in the South Tower."

9-11 Review: Steel-Melting Fires
I see that still nothing has changed.

Remember, too, that a plane did crash into the Empire State building in 1945. A B-25 airplane. And the building remained standing because that plane was much smaller than a 757.
Yes and much slower...

And as shown earlier in the thread...a 707 at cruise speed would hit the towers with more force than a 757. And the planes cannot cruise at sea level.

What do they call doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting a different result??

I think it's kinda sorta that "whacko" thing you are talking about...

Yes, they can't cruise at sea level, but that doesn't matter when they are about to crash. The terrorists knew the planes couldn't gain altitude when they were going that fast at such a low elevation. But they didn't want the planes to safely gain altitude; they wanted them to crash.

uhm..the term ""pull"" or ""pulled"" has NEVER been used for a controlled explosive demolition...that is a fact

Another fact I never see get mentioned is there were hundreds of thousands of American Airlines puts the day before (meaning someone was betting on the stock plummeting) 9/11. The SEC has confirmed it was a domestic trader, but the records beyond that are sealed.

Amazing how all the evidence that could supposedly cement the government's case was all confiscated and hidden/lost/destroyed.
uhm the PA is STILL the owners
silverstein LOST money on the deal...he is still paying for buildings that are not there

and the asbestos removal would have cost 10 MILLION...not even close to the ''billions'''

You seem to be pulling for the terrorists.

You think they'll ever come down?

Where's that stinking Bush hiding, anyway?

He killed his own people.

What a leader!
