Right..2 state Supreme court rulings..one saying it was part of the reservation and the other saying it wasn't and both rulings due to tax suits filed. Yeah..those rulings make it real clear what the answer is here
Um, I'm not talking about the Wyoming Supreme Court rulings (those don't hold precedential value when it comes to federal law). I'm talking about subsequent United States Supreme Court rulings related to the 1905 act of congress.
I always refer to Native Americans as Native American and people from INDIA as Indians.
I've learned from this forum recently that a non-offensive term is "Redskin." Therefore, I now refer to them as Redskins. Doesn't the alliterative quality of Redskin Reservation sound nice?
You know this probably goes without saying, but it's not like we kicked these native Americans off their lands with no compensation or something
Who's "we"? Those people are all dead now. Besides the descendants of the tribes that settled within our borders are all full fledged U.S. citizens today with their soveirgn lands. If you want to compensate dead people then go for it.
At least reimburse the owners... How about we kick Obama out of his residence?
First of all, that's a really crummy link. It took forever to load then filled my screen with some idiot political petition that I had no interest in "signing".
Second of all, the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) does not administer Native Lands. That would be the Bureau of Indian Affairs which does that.
How about we get some REAL discussions around here?
