Senate Democrats killed an amendment from Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) that would have paid for unemployment benefits for many Americans and replaced recent cuts to veterans’ pensions by closing a tax code loophole that allows illegal aliens to access the Refundable Child Tax Credit....The vote failed on Thursday 54-42, with all Republicans but Sen. Dean Heller (R-NV) voting for the amendment and against Senate Majority Leader Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV). Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) crossed the aisle to vote alongside Republicans in favor of the amendment.

I guess we know who our politicians are working hard for.

Sad that only ONE Democrat Senator cares more about veterans than illegal aliens. But it's not surprising.

Its a no brainer. Illegals illegally vote anyway so they always go left. Military and veterans always vote right.

Bi partisan agreement chose to cut pension benefits. That was up for the vote. Ayotte's IA EIC stunt was never part of the compromised deal.

It never had any standing. To claim Senators chose pensions cuts over IA tax credits is ridiculous.

So now incontrovertible facts are "ridiculous" according to the Obama swooners.

Without doing any research, i have to wonder if the senator who crossed over was a democrat in a red district, who is up for reelection. Call me a pessimist towards the actions of any democrat, seemingly being done to benefit or protect the American people.

Why I favor term limits. Congress critters vote to preserve their jobs, not to represent those that put them there to begin with.

Well I guess that's a good thing for the Dems.
The illegals were pretty worried that their free refund money would end.

Incotroveritble facts are just that...Believing that the vote was either IA Tax credits or VA pension is not an incontrovertible fact.
