People don't get high off of tobacco and there is a difference between being able to make something in your home and having it readily available to be picked by any kid who can hop the fence into your back yard.

Mike Huckabee will put an end to the madness in CO and WA when he wins the White House.

If your child is trespassing on someone's property and thieving, I think you have a lot more to worry about than them smoking an ancient herb that has been used by every human civilization in history.

Control your own children-Don't expect bureaucracy to.

Who cares if it gets people "high"? It doesn't kill Billions of people like tobacco and it is one of the safest substances known to man.

I'm even investing in pot stocks like mjna, which is a medicinal marijuana company... and I'm up more than 30%. These penny stocks are the next generation of 10 baggers.

Once you involve the government with their subsidies and other fine government programs price discovery is lost. Once you lose that the market is distorted, supply and demand means nothing.
Like I told a neighbor that thought one would be taxed for just growing it, I told him that one is taxed only if one sells it. I can grow it, smoke it and give it away, but if I sell it, I owe a tax on it, same with brewing ones own home brew or making ones own home made wine, it is fine until you sell it. I had that issue when the local market wanted to buy eggs from me. I own my own garden service and am not licensed to sell eggs or produce. The price of pot up here is cheap, unless you get it from a club. They sell it at a rate that comes to $4800 a pound and the price on the market is less than $2000. I saw the whole 215 medical marijuana deal just turn into a corrupted grow scheme with non smokers getting permits and selling that permit to a grower who would then operate up to 10 permits and make hand over fist off of selling the product. Make it legal and anyone can grow it, even in their back yards, the price falls and there is no more profit margin what with the price of electricity to do indoor grows. The clubs are just a rip off and are taking advantage of people who cannot grow, but need the pot for cancer or some other medical need. Recreational users are not generally going to the club and paying the outrageous prices.

I do not smoke cigarettes or drink and I rarely eat junk food or go to restaurants and my doctor said I had the heart and lungs of an athlete and all my important numbers are all in the good zones. More people in my family have died from cigarettes than anything else and many of my family members are alcoholics, I see more reasons to control the use of alcohol and tobacco then for pot, of which one type can provide medicinal pot and hemp for rope, fibre, oil and animal feed among many uses.
if you've been smoking since you're 19 and you're 54 now, you probably have cognitive issues that you are too high to even be aware of.

I have seen pot turn bright aware college kids into dopey dumb slackers. Pot lowers your IQ. It's a very harmful drug.

Children are children and adults are supposed to protect children. Children don't yet know the consequences of the decisions they make so it's up to adults to keep temptation out of their easy reach. Seriously, who would you blame if your neighbor left his gun out and loaded in his yard and your child hopped the fence and shot himself? Your neighbor for failing to put the gun away or your child for hopping the fence? Who is more culpable? The child who didn't resist something tempting he had easy access to or the adult who gave him easy access?

And besides, many kids would not consider taking leaves off of a plant that will continue to grow as stealing. If taking parts of plants is a crime, I've been an criminal since I first picked lilacs off of the neighbor's bush and my kids are really criminals because when they were small we had a rabbit who loved dandelion greens and they'd just grab them from along the fences of neighbor's houses. We're a family of criminals, lol. This is something kids do and don't think anything of. It's up to adults to make sure they are not putting something within the reach of children that can harm them. Kids just don't know it all. That's why we distinguish between kids and adults legally.
