It will also function as a chair. PETA and the Church Of The Flying Spaghetti Monster have also filed for permission to erect monuments.

The group offered to donate a monument last month, after State Rep. Mike Ritze (R-Broken Arrow) and conservative Christians were allowed to erect a Ten Commandments monument on the statehouse grounds.
Lawmakers in Oklahoma, however, have insisted that the Satanists should not be given the same treatment as Christians.
“This is a faith-based nation and a faith-based state,” Rep. Earl Sears (R-Bartlesville) said. “I think it is very offensive they would contemplate or even have this kind of conversation.”

Awww, someone has their knickers in a knot because it's a different faith.
Too bad, so sad.

I'm not religious myself but I don't think they should put that statue up. I hope it gets taken down if they do. It'll cause a huge controversy, I'm sure of that.

Well it is certainly bad-ass

definitely more interesting than some commandments. . .but isn't Satan a fallen angel. I would think he would be amazingly beautiful and angelic.

Personally, I would rather have a monument to

I was hoping for baphomet! Shame it's missing three key features that would make the 'chair' aspect of it more exciting.

Well, that's stupid looking.
If they wanted to install a comparable in protest (to the Ten Commandments monument up now) wouldn't it need to be something listing their tenets? As opposed to a creature statue.
Or maybe that would have exposed too much, since Satan stands for everything evil after all...
