Learn to read. There are only a million articles on Lincoln as a liberal. Again, simple U.S. History.

Or are you putting your hands over your eyes and singing "La la la, I can't see it!" ?
Are you confusing "classical liberal" with todays definition of liberal? There is simply no way that Lincoln fit the definition of todays "liberal."

Yeah, Jesus was a "liberal" too and a socialist, according to many of you.

But, I admit, the Republican Party today is fraught with liberals. We call them RINO'S. It is why the 'tea party' is trying to clean out he Republican Party and return it to it's roots. (Lincoln roots).

Democrats are actively working to destroy Liberty. They don't believe in it at all. They have contempt for the Constitution.
What is it with you guys and having things "shoved down your throat?" Also, ACA isn't taking away any of your liberties or freedoms.

An 18% minority is trying to clean out the majority...Why not just leave and let the RINOS to believe what they will?

Agreed. Liberal progs of today are just not shy in the lest to openly display their ignorance.

A liberal in the 18th and 19th century believed in freedom and liberty of the individual, where the people were sovereign unto themselves and the state worked for them. During that era, the rest of the world's nation's the people were slaves, peasants, serfs or subjects.

If modern liberals have their way, the federal government would be the supreme state. The formerly free governments of the 50 state would be reduced to vassals of the one state , and their only function would be to act as enforcement arms for the laws and edicts handed down from the state on high. The people would subjects of government, working for the state.

Modern day liberals want a return to the days where the people are subservient, ruled over by the all powerful state, something far worse then the days of King George III, and some might argue we are already there.

Because the RINOs are nothing but pro-life, pro- national defense liberal democrats. The Democratic Party and Republican Party are essentially two separate wings of the same party.

Not quite, there were both liberal and conservative factions of each party in the past, now each party is much more ideologically driven.

I love it when people complain about the two party system and then turn around and vote for one of the two parties.

I guess you have never heard the terms yellow dog and blue dog?

I love how Republicans classified as RINOS, conservative, moderates and Tea Party...yet the same is not true for Democrats.
