I scanned the article. There's always a bit of 'fun house mirror' effect in situations like this; hard to really know who is telling the truth. I couldn't find anything in the MSM about this. I found this one brief article from CNS news, which is a conservative news outlet founded by Brent Bozell.

Report: Fast and Furious Armed, Financed Cartel in Exchange for Info | CNS News

It contains the following, which suggests to me that there could be something to this:

I am skeptical about the claim that Fast and Furious was an effort to arm one particular 'cartel.' I don't recall any suggestion from the Univision investigation that the guns were all going to one particular group. They ran traces on over 50 guns found at crime scenes. I'd think they would have noticed if the guns were all going to one particular gang.

I still think it is more plausible that someone in the Obama admin was looking for a way to ramp up the violence stats in order to create an argument for gun control. But this is one more theory to consider. We do know that the explanation given to Congress by the BATF people is essentially gibberish.

Here is another article about this from Forbes:
Was Operation Fast And Furious Really Part Of A Secret Deal Between The DEA And Mexico's Sinaloa Drug Cartel? - Forbes

This one is interesting because the writer describes himself as a 'token lefty' at Forbes, yet also seems to think that there is something to all this.

Business Insider, while a Web-only site, is a respectable source. It's not a wackjob site, is politically neutral, and is often cited by the NYT and NPR.

The Stratfor information revealed by Wikileaks mentioned the Fast and Furious guns going to Sinaloa and its affiliates.

Theories about Fast and Furious being intended to arm Sinaloa have been around for a while. While American Conservative could hardly be accused of being politically neutral, it does have high journalistic standards, and this article is a solid piece of journalism, alleging that there is a link: Battle of Columbus | The American Conservative

This is the tip of the iceberg.

There's now a heroin epidemic. Why? Because they let legal opiates be prescribed in unlimited quantities for several years, then the DEA encouraged states to drastically restrict access to them.

The feds created a huge market for Heroin.

Coincidence?

Insanity!

The entire DEA should be disbanded. Law Enforcement budgets from Police on up need to be cut.

Can't believe this thread is 2 pages when a bunch of other useless nonsense continually gets bumped.
