Yeah, and that pretty much sums it up right there.

The government KNOWS that there is waste/fraud in the Medicare/caid system. But it cannot come up with an accurate number. Is it $10 billion annually? $60 billion? $90 billion?

This is why I always shake my head when people are in favor of bigger government. Government, at it's core, does NOTHING with efficiency because there are no deadlines, no repercussions to budget overruns, and NO accountability at the end of the day.

Now........what ARE we going to do about it?

Oh nonsense.. We were told by Obama that he was going to go through federal spending line by line and eliminate all of the wasteful spending..

Thats how he got the balanced budgets and record surpluses we now enjoy..

Fraud is always present in anything the government does with our money. The only way to stop it is to end the program.

I know this is a easy one. The people keep re electing incumbents in the 92 to 96 % range and this whole problem will be fixed Most of the problems facing the people are self inflicted and as the saying goes you can't fix stupid.

Libs will claim that this is a good thing. You know, it "stimulates" the economy.

This is what I don't understand. We have the proof they are stealing from the taxpayer, and the best we can do is vote them out and vote in someone who 'hopefully' isn't a crook.

Same rules don't apply to our government as to the rest of the citizens. Usually thieves are held accountable in some way.

Its worse than that, because politicians dont set the reinbursement rates, so voting everyone out, wont stop the problem.

We don't get to vote in the people who pay these bills.
Voting won't change anything.

Auditing and accountability and changing policies is what needs to happen.
But since no one gets in trouble for it then the waste will continue.
