That's what they ALL did! From George Washing all the way to the present.

That's why the power of the EO was created by the founders. They realized Congress could deadlock on a vital issue that required action. The Executive Order also frees up Congress from the minor things such as appointments. These relatively trivial matters could take up far too much time, especially when every federal clerk needed to be appointed. The EO can be recommended by Congress or not, and the Presidents have typically signed them a batch at a time.

I’ve got a pen and I’ve got a phone,” Obama said Tuesday as he convened his first Cabinet meeting of the year. Obama continued: ”And I can use that pen to sign executive orders and take executive actions and administrative actions that move the ball forward in helping to make sure our kids are getting the best education possible, making sure that our businesses are getting the kind of support and help they need to grow and advance, to make sure that people are getting the skills that they need to get those jobs that our businesses are creating.”


Apparently, many people think that is just fine and dandy, that government by decree and regulatory agencies is great.
If that is what you want, so be it. The fools on both sides are so narrow minded that a meaningful discussion is impossible (especially the demoncrap obamabots, although the repugnicans are nearly as bad). It was said long ago that the extreme left AND the extreme right are both in the gutter, the middle of the road is the best place to be.
After reading these forums for a few years, I have to agree!

Just curious. Can Obama just do away with the constitutuion by Executive Order?

Kinda shameful, those that came before us, were too scared of our government to do anything about it.
Looks like the time has come(sure have been a lot of guns sold lately) that We The People will not allow it any longer, when it does not involve known imminent danger to our nations soil.
