Well Obama can always just "pen" up an EO to extend it so what's the worry here ?

Which is it? "The economy is improving, the benefits must end", or "We've lied about the economy, so the benefits must continue"?

There's NO OTHER JUSTIFICATION for demanding they continue.

As you well know, Presidential EOs are usually unfunded madates. Funding still requires legislative vote.
