LOL I wouldn't call the Tea Party "extreme!" Conservatives are by definition not 'extremists'.

How is it that defending the Constitution, demanding our polititians abide by it, and standing for the limited government that the founders created, "extreme?" None of you have ever explained that.

"Progressivism," the "fundamental transformation" (Barack H. Obama's words) of our country to a Marxist/socialist/statist system is what is "extreme." The world has already seen what a failure that form of government is. It is a system that oppresses it's citizens, stifles creativity and entrepreneurism, and punishes success.

We once had the opportunity to hear a lecture by a citizen of the former USSR, who had come to America to begin a new life. He told us how when he first got here, he was stunned by all the smiling faces. He thought at first people were lauging at him or something. He said in his old country, people didn't smile. It was because everything was so hopeless.

I think we need to realize, that is where the "Progressives" are taking us. They are collectivists. Central planners. The do not believe in Liberty and individualism.

You thought huh? Your thinking is awfully flawed. You need to take a hard look at the LEFT.

Instead, you're mistakenly directing all the blame for everything bad that has ever happened onto a political movement that couldn't possibly be solely responsible for even 1/10 of it.

Yeah, that's better.

Far-left wackjobs have been around for decades. Green party, Communist Party, etc. Sounds like just another rehash of the same leftist garbage. Don't expect to find a lot of Mensa material there, sounds like they are like Think (lol) Progress.

It seems to be a front for some lobbyist group. Fortunately, no one seems to bother with it.

There was an effort several years ago to do a 'coffee party' as a liberal alternative to the Tea Party. As far as I know they are still around, but we certainly don't hear much about them. The organizer of the Coffee Party turned out to be a Dem operative with connecs to Obama. The originator of the Tea Party, or at least one of them was a Seattleite named Keli Carender who had no political connections other than that her dad was a Democratic PCO.

Never heard of them. That being said, wingnuttery (if they are in fact wingnuts, and I cannot form an opinion on that) knows no political bounds.

One question: Which ones are authoritarians? Are they the ones insisting Blacks have the right to vote?
Everyone on the left is authoritarian in ideology.

They believe in forcing people to do what they want done.

My sympathies.
