O Brother the Chinese aren't war mongers ?
Its fast becoming a repeat of the naval 1930's Pacific Theater of Operations but instead of Japan its Communist China.Remember their crossborder invasion of Vietnam in 1979? Their tyranny against Tibet? Their unstable border relations in the past with India, the USSR, Russia?

Tibet has been a part of China since 14th century. China attacked Vietnam in 1979 but the goal was not to occupy any land, but only to push them out of Cambodia.

They don't because the US is here.

Why do you think the US has such a large presence over there? The second the US with draws, China will take Taiwan, and most likely do something to Japan.

China is China because the rest of the world buys their stuff. They still are nowhere near sustaining themselves. The second the rest of the world stops buying, they collapse.

It's healthy to come out of hiding once in awhile. Fresh air does the soul good.
But we continue to buy even if it's not to our own benefit. We're stupid like that. We won't stop buying unless there's something else to buy and right now, there isn't.

They're not there yet but they're getting there.

I am waiting for their sexually unbalanced population becomes overloaded with elderly men. Maybe they will just steal women from their neighbors.

Men can marry women 20 years younger.

Actually if you've seen the other thread about them funding social security and paying for our aircraft carriers, they do benefit us. I've only skimmed it, though.

There is a saying. Owe the bank a million bucks, the bank owns you. Owe the bank a billion bucks, you own the bank.

It's still decades away and they'll see a popular push to change the government before that happens, and the entrenched party will fight it with violence.

Most of the BRICS are insignificant. Brazil has always been and will always be "The country of the future!".

South Africa is a catastrophic mess. India is full of vast poverty. Russia is a fading country with less and less significance in the world.

China is the only one that matters.
