All over City-Data are the words STUPID, Idiot and Intellectually Lazy.

Usually it is a result of an argument about politics. Many posters are absolutely convinced that they are right about a social or political issue and anyone who has a completely different perspective is either intellectually lazy, stupid, crazy or unreasonable.

Is this what you think of people who have completely different opinions about politics?

To paraphrase Mark Twain, I'm not concerned with what people know, I'm concerned with what they know that isn't so!

Some are. Some just look at things and come up with a different perspective. The latter has a more thorough perspective and can engage in conversation.

Ill-informed … but I find that people who refuse to acknowledge data, facts and reality, and get their information from flawed sources, usually do so because of their character and personality.

So the answer for me is really none of the above … just a different personality type from me.

People have the right to believe whatever they want, right or wrong, logical or emotional, as long as they don't try to convert me to their way of thinking by screaming in my face, they can believe whatever nonsense they want.

Some are intelligent people who believe in their political beliefs because they honestly feel that those beliefs have served them well and thus would serve the country well.

Others with the same beliefs are cretinous morons.

No, they just have a different political ideology than I do.
