We keep hearing that if abortions were paid by the state that means less welfare. I haven't seen stats on this but am not likely to agree for several reasons.

If federally subsidized abortions were availible to low income women...1. Does not mean an increase in abortions. 2. nor does it mean a lowering of welfare rates.

Abortions are free via planned parenthood via US tax dollars. So is contraception, which some have no idea how to use.

Planned Parenthood is banned by law from using any federal grant money to pay for abortions. This ban has been part of every spending bill for about 40 years.

The government passed the abortion laws to cut down the cost of raising children.
They know it is cheaper to pay for a fast abortation,
than to pay out money for a child for 18 years, on welfare and healthcare.
