"Wendy Davis, the Texas state senator whose filibuster for abortion rights made her a Democratic superstar and launched her campaign for governor, has admitted to the Dallas Morning News that she lied about key events in her life, including her first divorce. Other missing details have included: her second husband paid her way through law school and she divorced him the day after the last payment was made; her ex-husband accused her in initial court filings of adultery, and was awarded custody of their two daughters; and she first ran for city council in Fort Worth as a Republican."

Single Teen Mom? Texas's Wendy Davis Lied About Life Story

Does this sound familiar?

"My language should be tighter,” she said, admitting her campaign biography has been less than truthful.

"My language should be tighter,”

LOL. Understatement of the year but the year is still young.

Oh my godz! A politician who is less than 100% honest!

I am certainly glad no Republicans are ever guilty of such a thing! [/sarcasm]

Of course, to classify this as specifically "another dem" shows the OP to be a myopic, hypocritical partisan hack.

This isn't a pass for dems; it's just pointing out how much both parties suck and are corrupt.

Anyone who thinks one of the two major US political parties is preferable to the other is too idiotic to vote.

You could fill three pages of the forum with the list of politicians on both sides of the aisle who have lied (about their past or otherwise). Our esteemed coke-snorting Congressman Radel comes to mind immediately, but there are many, many more including Republican and Democrat presidents. Anyhow thanks for making a mountain out of a molehill, as extremists love to do. Get back to us when there is a real issue.

It's a sad commentary that those who don't support politicians lying to us are now extremists.

She incorrectly indicated she was divorced at 21 when it she was actually 19 and she is a brunette rather than a blonde, very important stuff. Inconsistencies by other Texas politicians must pale by comparison, how can we ever trust someone that was off 2 years on her divorce.
