Liberal agenda is the forcing of the masses to bend to their will and way of doing things. They believe the village is the single entity and not the individual and that everyone should give of their largesse for the benefit of "equality". A country had that form of government. It failed. It was the former Soviet Union.
That is a pretty good summation.
Woodrow Wilson's speech, "What is Progress" is instructive.
"All that progressives ask or desire is permission—in an era when “development,” “evolution,” is the scientific word—to interpret the Constitution according to the Darwinian principle; all they ask is recognition of the fact that a nation is a living thing and not a machine." — Woodrow Wilson
This is where the idea that our Constitution is a "living document" has it's origin.
Quote:
"Wilson maintains that both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution have outlived their usefulness—and their now outmoded truths. The scientific facts, Wilson coldly concludes, call for cooperation among the parts of government, not checks against one another.
Living political constitutions must be Darwinian in structure and in practice. Society is a living organism and must obey the laws of life, not of mechanics; it must develop. All the progressives ask or desire is permission—in an era when “development,” “evolution,” is the scientific word—to interpret the Constitution according to the Darwinian principle….
Wilson’s Darwinian constitutionalism means that an evolving human nature wipes away the need for the protection of individual rights by the separation of powers. Liberated from the old constraints demanded by an unchanging and flawed human nature, a government of now unlimited powers is unleashed to deal with the new political and economic conditions of corporations and political bosses." So red states that refused to create their own health care programs and left it for the federal government to do for them are upset...why am I not surprised and I am sure their whining will be ignored because they clearly can't take responsibility and create their own program for ACA.
The people don't want the so-called ACA (it's unaffordable, for one thing). The state legislatures are doing what they should do, and looking out for the interests of the citizens of their state.

Obamacare should be repealed. Period.
Yes and replaced with a single payer system. I'm glad we agree on something.
I see the leftist-fanatic lie machine is still running in overdrive.
In fact, it's the states who thought the Federal government should not try to take over the nation's health insurance, who are doing this.
And they're not particularly "upset". They're just taking out the trash, as necessary.
The fact is that a state's legislature can pass any legislation they wish. How does that nullify ACA in their state?
The state would have to invalidate all the contracts between private citizens and Private health insurance carriers. How exactly does a state do that? Make those contracts illegal?
The RW's conception of what the "Liberal agenda" comes from, Rush, Glenn, Sarah, and whatever flavor of the month is on You Tube.
So then the absence of a liberal/Democratic agenda means the liberals are just randomly making up a patchwork of legislation and hoping for the best?????

I bet you support the states going their own way in regards to legalizing pot..

The same way states are legalizing pot, despite federal anti drug laws.. It doesnt nullify it, but it puts the emphasis on the federal government to act, which they cant since they dont have the resources to do so.

They do not.. Simply ignoring the mandate to buy insurance doesnt mean they have to cancel contracts between parties who chose to obtain insurance.
