And yet somehow it did the exact opposite in Holland. They decriminalized cannabis and the organized crime moved in immediately.

I think it shows YOU don't know what you are talking about. The same criminals who supply cannabis, also supply other drugs, and as soon as Holland decriminalized cannabis, the criminals made Holland their home town, and now up to 90% of hard drugs in France and UK go through Holland.

Quote:
Holland has decriminalized drugs and tried harm reduction. Since the softening of drug policy there, shootings have increased 40%, robberies 62%, and car thefts 62%. This experiment which was meant to decrease organized crime has resulted in an increase in organized crime families from 3 in 1988 to 93 today.

The number of registered marijuana addicts has risen 30% and the number of other addicts has risen 22%.
Quote:
Most of the hash was smuggled into the country by organized criminal gangs. The weed is supplied largely by Netherlands-based crime syndicates and large-scale home growers. According to the report, home growers often have their seeds and growing equipment supplied by go-betweens who work for criminal organizations and are involved in supplying the coffeeshops.

In this way, coffeeshops form the legal retail channels for organized criminal entreprises

In order to run a drug cartel one needs to launder immense amounts of money. The big banks are complicit. Martin Woods, Wachovia's anti money laundering unit out of London quit his job when higher level executives ignored his documentation of drug money funneling process.

Gary Webb of San Jose Mercury News did The People a favor when as part of a standard FOI request got access to files that showed CIA - Drug Traffic complicity, but, then when he was "NOT ALLOWED" to pursue the story, scanned and made them available. It probably saved his life.
Other investigative journalists (Michael Hastings, Jim Keith, William Cooper, Danny Casselero) were not as lucky.

Drug trafficking has been a large source of black ops money. Read: Alfred McCoy, Politics of Heroin and Drugs in Southeast Asia and Daniel Hopsicker's Barry and The Boys.

From 2001 to 2011 Opium production by Afghan Farmers increased from 185 tons to 5800 tons. In 2011 levesl increased 61% with 90% of heroin found on british streets traced back to Afghanistan.

Lets be honest, the 'War on Drugs' is under the mantle of a PR campaign by the government to appear like it cares. It doesn't. All it cares about is revenues and consolidating power at top echelons.

The U.S. Government And The Sinaloa Cartel - Business Insider

All the former vices controlled by organized crime have, in turn, transitioned to being controlled by the government. Some in a legalized form (Gambling Lotteries, Alcohol, etc...) and others that do not make good 'political PR' are run as "Black Ops" . There is no concern for people - just money. Greater profits, heavy medicated populace - whether prescription or not - coupled with mass media conditioning = easily 'farmed' human population. One could say that gubmint at certain 'levels' = orgycrime

On a slightly humorous note, beware Ohio State Buckeye fans who display logos showing the buckeye (horsechestnut tree leaves). A while back Ohioans were pulled over in Tennessee because "Barney Fife" state troopers with a power complex thought it looked liked marijuana and warranted a police stop and search for drug paraphernalia.

Woman pulled over after Ohio St. sticker confused for drug symbol
