I don't get it, judging him by what he's done in office he's an late 80's early 90's republican. Heck his signature healthcare plan is based off a republican plan from that time period

The political spectrum has shifted so far to the right, that center right is the new "left" lol

Obama the Conservative | Tracking Obama's abandoning of the progressive agenda, and the disconnect between his words and deeds.

People don't actually watch what he does in office they just hear his progressive speeches or believe anything the right wing machine tells the. "But but rush limbaugh said he was a socialist"

A combination of all three. Most Americans tune out after campaign season and elections which gives their elected representative free reign due to never being held accountable or called out for being a Puppet for Banks and Corporations. I think most politicians are surprised when they are voted into office for more than one term nowadays as they often have cushy jobs waiting for them in the private sector when they are exposed and voted out of public office.

The monopolized and Corporately controlled Media keeps up a rhetoric that there are two parties in power that have drastically different political visions and just can't seem to get along to get anything accomplished, when nearly everyone in Congress has already sold their power to Corporations and Banks anyway and seem to get along quite well when they pass all the terrible laws and policies swiftly and in flying colors like wars, bailouts, NDAA, etc.

Most don't research further into what is actually going on because they are turned off by the culture of division and bitterness that is at the surface. People need to stop identifying themselves by 1 of 2 Political parties that are controlled by Corporations and the collusion between Government bureacracy and The Federal Reserve and their Banks and Corporations.

It is only the people versus the power and the power must be returned to the people. Nobody should be defending a politician due to party allegience. Politicians are only puppets for the power and our shadow Government must be recognized and revealed before any real change can occur.

I would add one other potential explanation. There is a Pavlovian reflex among many on the right that is knee jerk liberal = bad conservative = good. Case in point all of the MLK was a conservative stuff you see coming from the right. Anyway since they see Obama as being "bad" he must be liberal.

Boilerplate response when you have nothing substantive to add. No conservative has lied ever, definitely not, no way.

Were talking about a guy who has proposed social security cuts for 5 years now being a "leftist" lol

That's like saying someone who wants to raise taxes is a right winger, it simply doesn't make sense

2. expansion of foodstamps/welfare
3. indefinite expansion of unemployment
4. higher taxes
5. expansion of medicaid
6. Obamacare
7. expansion of the EPA
8. opposing energy exploration on federal land
9. supporting CO2 emission limits
10. war on coal
11. opposition to states rights
12. appointing all far left judges
13. rampant spending and expansion of the debt
14. opposition to national right to work act and support of unions

Obama is past being a liberal. He is a socialist communist. His words speak of it constantly. He talks about the collective , not the individual. Spread the wealth around. As for gay marriage as he put it ," nobody is more offended than me by the anti-gay legislation".

Marxist Obama is more than far left leaning.
